Applied Spectra Exhibits at LIBS2010 Conference

September 13-17, Memphis, Tennessee

Applied Spectra's sales team, along with four members of our world-class scientific team attended the 6th International Conference on Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) this week.

Scientific team members led a talk on "The Effects of LIBS Laser Wavelength on the Identification of Obsidian Artifact Provenance."

Meanwhile, the sales team held a popular contest to give away two I-pads to participants who completed a survey in-person or online. Over 65% of the conference attendees signed up and, the lucky winners were:

  • Steven J. Rehse, Ph.D from Wayne State University, and
  • Christian P. Parigger, Ph.D from the University of Tennessee Space Institute.
