Applied Spectra Strengthens its Scientific Team with
Addition of Dr. Jhanis Gonzalez

FREMONT, Calif. (May 1, 2009) — Applied Spectra, Inc is pleased to announce that Dr. Jhanis Gonzalez, Ph.D has joined its scientific team as Director of Analytical Application Development. Prior to his arrival at Applied Spectra, Dr. Gonzalez served as a research/project scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory where he performed fundamental research on analytical technologies based on laser ablation. His analytical research work resulted in several highly recognized publications in well-respected academic journals such as the Journal of Analytical Atomic Spectrometry (JAAS).

With his experience in both LIBS and LA-ICP-MS, Applied Spectra can now accelerate many of the commercial applications that we are currently targeting.
